From the Airport of Pisa to the house
The following graphics should be sufficient to direct you from the international airport of Pisa to the house traveling by car. However, the nearest train station to the house is in the town of Gragnola. The train trip to Gragnola is not fast (takes approximately 1 hour from Lucca) but it is a scenic one, certainly worthwhile.
From the airport
From when you are heading south from the airport, follow the directions from the toll way to "Genova"; in Italy toll ways are indicated by green road signs.
Drive north for about 50-60 Km and in any case until you will find directions to "Parma" (on your right if you are coming from Pisa). Follow the signs to Parma and after about 9 Km you will find the directions to Aulla, exit at Aulla.
The exit toll should amount to approximately 5 euros.
Once in Aulla, follow for Fivizzano.
You will drive past a railway crossing and, past that, some 7 Km later you
will find the directions for Gragnola or Monzone. You need to drive through
Gragnola and all the way up where the road ends.
By this point you are on your way to Lorano.
